How to Enable/Disable Auto Start of Oracle Clusterware

Sometimes we need manually disable, then enable auto-start of Oracle cluster, like system maintenance or trouble shooting requires system rebooting for a couple of times.

  1.  Disable clustware auto-start.
#crsctl disable crs
CRS-4621: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is disabled.

-- or run this command :

#crsctl disable has
CRS-4621: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is disabled.

-- Check the status of auto-start 

# crsctl config crs
CRS-4621: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is disabled.

-- or

# crsctl config has
CRS-4621: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is enabled.

-- or

#cd /etc/oracle/scls_scr/racnode1/root
#cat ohasdstr
disable

-- crsstart is no longer updated and used after Oracle 11.2
# cat crsstart
enable

2. Enable clustware auto-start.

#crsctl enable crs
CRS-4622: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is enabled.

-- or run this command :

#crsctl disable has
CRS-4622: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is enabled.

-- Check the status of auto-start 

# crsctl config crs
CRS-4622: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is enabled.

-- or

# crsctl config has
CRS-4622: Oracle High Availability Services autostart is enabled.

-- or

#cd /etc/oracle/scls_scr/racnode1/root
#cat ohasdstr
enable

-- crsstart is no longer updated and used after Oracle 11.2
# cat crsstart
enable

About ohasdrun, after CRS/ohas started :
$cat ohasdrun
restart

After CRS/ohas stopped:
$cat ohasdrun
stop
